Amara Resort Sedona: The dream oasis in Arizona...

Nudged in the red rocks of Sedona, is a quiet and relaxing resort and spa called Amara. From the second we arrived at the hotel it felt like an oasis. We were greeted by the valet who parked our car for us and welcomed us to the peaceful space. Check-in took minutes and we ventured into our hotel room that was equipped with a beautiful view of the pool...

Down below I added a few more photos of our hotel and our view from the balcony...

Not only is Amara a great space for those who would like to relax and enjoy a few days off from work or the stresses of everyday life, but it is also in a town filled with it's own adventures. Amara is a short drive away from some of Sedona's most traveled to sights such as the Seven Sacred Pools and The Devil's Kitchen Sinkhole...

We spent most of our days at Sedona adventuring through the hiking trails as well as finding new spots to eat and chat. Each night we ventured back to the pool at our hotel and each morning we got breakfast at their restaurant, Saltrock Southwest Kitchen.

The pool at Amara is by far one of the most gorgeous pools I have ever seen in real life and even on the internet! I was in awe of this pool each and everyday we stayed at the resort. I believe this space is the staple to the already amazing atmosphere you can find at Amara...

We spent hours by the pool, warm hot tub, and the comfy sitting area that consisted of canopy beds with pillows...

While unwinding at the pool, we saw many people getting work done on their laptops during their own staycations. I even thought about using the outdoor wifi to get some of tasks finished myself...but the hot tub was calling my name ;)

Amara's restaurant Saltrock Southwest Kitchen provided us with a delicious breakfast as well. Our spread consisted of Avocado Toast and the Vortex Breakfast plate...

Our avocado toast was delicious! With this dish being a staple in LA, you know we had to see how they do it in Sedona...

This toast plate was made with sliced avocado, heirloom tomatoes, red onion, and queso fresco. It was presented beautifully and tasted even better! The smooth avocado contrasted well with the crisp onions and tomatoes that it was topped with.

The Vortex Breakfast consisted of two eggs any style (I enjoy over medium), sausage, herb roasted breakfast potatoes, and a choice of toast. It was sided with jelly, smooth butter, and ketchup. I always choose a breakfast plate like this as a go-to when I am at a brunch as eggs and toast are my favorite! I loved the taste of this dish...the eggs were cooked perfectly and melted over my toast like syrup on a pancake. The potatoes were crisp on the outside and cooked with small veggies for taste. Each little side condiment made for a diverse dish that could be sweet or savory whenever you ask.

When we weren't by the pool or hiking by the red rocks, I had plenty of time to get my school work done in the calm atmosphere our hotel provided. Our room had a desk that was perfect for anyone who likes to work with one. Yet, I was more than content getting my work done while relaxing on the bed and watching TV hehe...

Over all, our stay at Amara Resort and spa was one to remember. This space does not only provide a spot for people to loosen up and rest, but it also creates an environment surrounded by beauty that left me in awe. From the view of the red rocks by the pool, to the serene sunsets at night, Amara truly knows how to highlight and submerge itself into the nature it is surrounded by. Being a city girl, I was astonished by the wonderful world that is made when we step outside our busy lifestyles and take a second to smell the roses (or in my case, climb the red rocks). Until next time, Sedona...
